Jason’s leadership as CIO guides Albion and our clients through complex and ever-changing markets through a rigorous investment approach underpinned by an unwavering core long-term investment philosophy. Specifically, a thorough blend of macroeconomic and sector research, individual security selection, and an overlay of studying the psychology and behavioral biases behind investing informs his process. Jason’s work here is the foundation for Albion’s portfolio management and forms the basis for the firm’s opinions and outlook on the global economy and financial markets.

Jason holds the esteemed Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA™) designation, as well as an MBA from Westminster where his work was recognized by Delta Mu Delta – an international honor society in business founded at NYU. His knack for sizing up good investments, identifying market trends, and thoughtful views on the world economy has distinguished him as a recurrent resource for the financial press – frequently quoted in articles from Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, American Banker, both The New York & LA Times, and Barron’s magazine. Jason is also a frequent guest across several flagship CNBC programs, Cheddar, and Yahoo Finance TV, as well as a regular quest on PBS’s storied Nightly Business Report. Local press includes Deseret News, and live interviews on KSL TV, KSL NewsRadio, and KPCW.

Jason is currently on the Advancement Board for the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Utah. He is also an honored inductee of Utah Business Magazine’s Forty Under 40 list of executives and business leaders to watch (2017).

Outside of the office, Jason loves spending time with his brilliant wife and their two kids (a son and daughter); traveling; and staying physically active across a variety of pursuits. An avid reader, and a constant student of the world, Jason enjoys ever-broadening his knowledge base.
